brown marmorated stink bug pyramid trap - Entomology Today
After the discovery of the male aggregation pheromone of the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys), researchers first applied it using a black pyramid-style trap, in which stink bugs that land on trap panels are lured to crawl upwards into a jar, where a panel of insecticidal netting kills them. The trap style, however, is as more expensive and cumbersome to install than a new sticky-panel trap design that is now available. (Photo courtesy of Tracy Leskey, Ph.D.)
