A beautiful antique French wooden butter mold. Hinged on one side to easily release the butter form, the edges are fluted and the base has a hand carved leaf and catkin design. The wood has a deep rich colouration, and there are traces of ancient woodworm holes over the surface. The hinge and hook fastening are all in perfect working order, and there is a metal loop for wall hanging. The perfect gift for any kitchen-alia collector.
