Magnetic stirrers tend to be quieter than gear-driven motorized stirrers with no external moving parts. This laboratory stirring hot plate has a speed range of 0 to 1100 rpm and a temperature range of 0 to 340°C through separate dial controls. The ChemGlass stirring hot plate also features a 135mm diameter heater top that is scratch-proof and chemically-resistant. The back corner of the housing has an M8 female thread to accept a vertical support rod (not included).
