When food hits the desired internal temperature, an alarm signal occurs to ensure perfect results. HELPFUL HINTS: Digital thermometers are NOT meant to be left in food during cooking. The plastic and electronic components could be damaged with excessive heat. Only the wired probe should be in the oven/grill but should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 482°F(250°C) or in contact with direct flames.
