Honda produce their one millionth SH scooter

Honda’s Atessa factory, founded in the Abruzzo region of Italy in 1971, has reached an impressive milestone, having produced one million SH scooters. That’s an impressive number in itself, but the Atessa factory didn’t start producing the SH models until 1996. That means in the 11 years of SH production in Italy, they’ve averaged almost 100,000 scooters a year! The SH range was introduced in 1984 with the SH50 moped, which was built in Belgium until production moved to Atessa 12 years later.
