The key to brewing great coffee is measuring extraction time and weight of coffee and water. Hario has made this process seamless by offering both in the same scale. Simply turn on the scale, place your chosen manual brewer on the weighing platform, and tare to zero to begin. After adding your coffee, press tare again to start measuring the water. To activate the timer, press the START STOP button and begin brewing. You can pause the timer at any time by pressing the start button and press again to re-start. Once brewing is complete you can either turn off the display or the power will automatically turn off after 5 minutes. The top plate is ABS resin with insulating materials to prevent heat from transferring to the base. This material also allows water and coffee grounds to be easily wiped off. The underside has non-slip rubber feet in each corner, reducing movement during the brewing process to ensure accuracy and consistency. This product uses widely available AAA batteries.
