Description In 1970s, I have been working with Phil Hoffman to produce the new line of "Condor" brand knives here in Seki. Phil is an award winning designer of Lakota and Condor sport knives, and one of the Lakota knife has been included into the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. Before getting to know him, he was struggling to find the best maker to produce Condor knives in Seki. After trial and error with some knifemakers, Kanematsu, Yoshida, Suzuki etc, I helped to produce Condor line at Seizo Imai (later Secnos) and Lakota line at Moki (S. Sakurai) to his satisfactory quality level.  However, it did not continue long for his company's financial problem, and in 1980s, the Condor business went to Blackjack Knives in Effingham, IL and the Lakota business went to
