Created in 1953, this emblematic, Museum of Modern Art-worthy icon was designed by French silversmith Guy Degrenne. Inspired by traditional Bedouin teapots and hospitality, the elegant Salam teapot combines a porcelain body and felt-lined matte black aluminum cover, ensuring your favorite tea remains warm for over an hour. Plus, there is a removable stainless-steel tea strainer inside. Beautiful, functional and chic, the Salam may be the perfect pot.

The salam teapot was created in 1953 and is Degrenne’s iconic product. The finesse of the porcelain combined with the shimmer of the teapot’s body enhances the tea-drinking experience. The salam’s body is cleverly linked by a felt sleeve, keeping tea at an optimum temperature for twice as long as a classic teapot. The pot’s removable filter reveals all the subtlety of tea and prevents the bitter taste that comes from brewing tea for too long.
