This is a set that includes a Ttukebaegi pot (L or XL), a lid, and a steamer rack. A Ttukbaegi pot is commonly used in Korea to cook and serve staple stews like kimchi jiggae(kimchi stew) or doenjang jiggae(soybean paste stew). It can also be used for gukbap(soup with rice) and ramen. The larger sizes (L, XL) are perfect for a larger serving size, commonly used for Korean style hot pot. This pot retains heat well and does not cool down quickly, even after being taken off the heat. Rest assured that your food will still be hot for the entirety of your meal. Tackaon’s pots are handmade with pride by local ceramic artisans. Made with Korean clay, this pot does not soak in any liquid when cooking. This is important as cheaper ttukbaegi pots tend to absorb residual liquid or soap detergent and release them during the next boil. For a premium Korean dining experience, this pot is definitely the key element to it! • High retention of heat • Does not soak in any liquid cooked in the pot • Safe to use on gas, electric and coil stovetops (does not heat up on induction stovetops) • Microwave safe and oven safe • Comes with a detachable steamer rack Direction for Use Before first time use, fill the pot with some water - along with a few shakes of flour. Let it simmer away for 20 minutes on LOW heat (this will clean and season the pot at the same time). Do not heat up the pot without liquid or broth inside. Leave the pot to cool down before washing.
