Here is a RARE 1800's Carl Gottbill #7 Cast Iron Gatemarked Small Dutch Oven. Couldn't find out much about this, but they had German businesses starting as early as the mid 1700's. This one is most likely early 1900's based on the trademark. The piece had some kind of blue-gray coating, that is chipped in places. I cleaned it thoroughly and re-seasoned it with 4 coats of Grapeseed Oil. It wobbles and spins due to the gatemark. Has the Carl Gottbill marking on the lid and on the dutch oven. Has some primitive casting flaws on the cooking surface. It measures 7" diameter, 3-11/16" high (the lid with the handle is ~1-3/4" high).
